In the album I present archaeological relics from Poland photographed from the air. Most often, I photographed strongholds with a visible terrain shape. However, I also documented traces of archaeological sites visible thanks to vegetation and soil characteristics... It sometimes happens that plants on archaeological structures change their color and height, which makes these relics stand out better from the surroundings. The results of searching and documenting archaeological sites also depend on the season and day, type of soil, type of crops and many other factors. Aerial archeology, unlike traditional excavations, is a non-invasive method and does not destroy archaeological sites. Therefore, you can document the same objects repeatedly, sometimes obtaining new information about people's lives in the past. Typically, in Poland, aerial photos are used to document the state of preservation of individual relics and for popularization purposes. It happens that bird's eye views allow you to discover completely new archaeological remains or change the range of already known sites.
