Photos from a week-long excavation trip to Russia. The purpose of my stay was to take pictures from the kite of the Polish excavation. However, I also photographed the team of Archaeologists at work and the surrounding area. Tanais is located in the Don Delta not far from Rostov. The northernmost Greek colony used to be there. The oldest artefacts found there date back to the 3rd century BC. Polish students of archeology from the University of Warsaw are practicing there under the supervision of Dr. Tomasz Scholl.
