Irleand
Photos from a five-day trip to Ireland. I lived in Belfast, which was the base for further trips to the area. We visited e.g. the bishop's seat in Castlerock, which burned down in the 18th century, the Catholic and Protestant districts of Londonderry (Derry), the mountains near New Castle and Dublin. The penultimate day we spent in the Giant Causeway, i.e. on the causeway of the giant Finn MacCool. This place is considered one of the most beautiful natural wonders in Great Britain. The rock that cuts into the sea consists of hundreds of hexagonal basalt pillars of volcanic origin. According to legend, the giant MacCool wanted to build a passage to Scotland in this way. Apparently, the same structures are also found on the local coast.
